FunctionDescription
ADD_MONTHSThe Oracle/PLSQL function ADD_MONTHS returns a date plus n months.
CURRENT_DATEOracle/PLSQL function CURRENT_DATE returns the current date in the time zone of the current SQL session as set with the ALTER SESSION command.
CURRENT_TIMESTAMPOracle/PLSQL function CURRENT_TIMESTAMP returns the current date and time in the time zone of the current SQL session as set with the ALTER SESSION command. It returns the date/time with the time zone value.
DBTIMEZONEThe Oracle/PLSQL function DBTIMEZONE returns the time zone of the database as an offset of the time zone (in the following format: ‘[+|-]TZH:TZM’) or the time zone name.
EXTRACTThe Oracle/PLSQL function EXTRACT extracts a value from a date or interval value.
LAST_DAYOracle/PLSQL function LAST_DAY returns the last day of the month based on the date value.
LOCALTIMESTAMPOracle/PLSQL function LOCALTIMESTAMP returns the current date and time in the time zone from the current SQL session, as set by ALTER SESSION command. This will return TIMESTAMP.
MONTHS_BETWEENOracle/PLSQL function MONTHS_BETWEEN returns the number of months between date1 and date2.
NEW_TIMEOracle/PLSQL function NEW_TIME returns the date and time zone2 for the date and time zone1 set by date.
NEXT_DAYOracle/PLSQL function NEXT_DAY returns the first day of the week that is larger than date.
ROUND (FOR DATES)The Oracle/PLSQL function ROUND returns a date rounded to a specific unit.
SESSIONTIMEZONEOracle/PLSQL function SESSIONTIMEZONE returns the time zone of the current session as an offset of the time zone (in the following format: ‘[+|-]TZH:TZM’) or the name of the time zone region.
SYSDATEOracle/PLSQL function SYSDATE returns the current system date and time on your local database.
SYSTIMESTAMPOracle/PLSQL function SYSTIMESTAMP returns the current system date and time (including fraction of a second and time zone) to your local database.
TO_DATEThe Oracle/PLSQL function TO_DATE converts a string into a date.
TRUNC (FOR DATES)The Oracle/PLSQL function TRUNC returns a date truncated to a specific unit.
TZ_OFFSETThe Oracle/PLSQL function TZ_OFFSET returns the time zone offset from a value.
